Pasadena Business Incentive Tool
When businesses move to Pasadena, they are emailed a collection of PDFs covering incentives, programs, and support services. While these materials are valuable, the fragmented approach makes Pasadena’s business offerings feel harder to navigate, and less compelling than they should be. Now it’s’ easier for businesses to identify relevant programs showcasing Pasadena’s business friendly culture in a memorable way.

Summary
The City of Pasadena wanted to modernize how it communicates business incentives, support programs, and economic development resources. Traditionally, prospective businesses received a collection of PDFs outlining available programs, but this was difficult to navigate and lacked the engaging experience needed to showcase Pasadena’s business-friendly culture.
Echo Factory partnered with the City to transform this information into a cohesive physical and digital experience designed to make business incentive discovery simple, approachable, and memorable.
The Approach
We developed a two-part system that helps businesses quickly identify the resources most relevant to their needs.
Digital Incentive Discovery Tool
The web-based tool allows users to filter incentives, programs, and support services based on business stage, industry, and growth goals. Whether a company is relocating, expanding, hiring, or investing in sustainability, the platform guides users to the programs that best fit their situation.
Business Incentive Trading Cards
To complement the digital experience, a collectible-style booster pack of illustrated trading cards were created. Distributed at meetings, conferences, and outreach events, the cards help economic development staff start conversations and create lasting impressions with prospective businesses.
The Results
By combining an interactive digital discovery platform with a highly memorable physical marketing piece, Pasadena gained a fresh and innovative way to communicate its business advantages. The project reinforces the city’s reputation as welcoming, supportive, and easy to work with. Now it’s easier than ever for businesses to discover the resources available to help them succeed.
