Background: As an investment management firm, 1on1 Financial has to compete with a lot of other companies to manage people’s money. That means they make a lot of sales calls and do a lot of follow-up.
Challenge: Getting people to follow-up can be difficult. 1on1 Financial needed something that would encourage people to call them back.
Solution: We created a direct marketing follow-up kit that the company can send to past and prospective clients when they haven’t heard from them. Inside the kit, there’s a wooden box that reads “We haven’t heard from you” and a tab telling the person to “lift here.” When the person opens the box, there’s a cellphone along with the following message.
“We figured your phone must be broken. So, we sprang into action. Which in our case, meant driving down to the nearest 7-Eleven. Enclosed you’ll find a pre-paid cellphone with one number programmed into it. Ours.
